Tiger Consulting and Software Devt Inc (TCSDI) has been selected to implement its Zeus™ Flight Information Display System (FIDS) and Departure Control System (DCS) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 4, one of the Philippines’ oldest airports with more than three million (3,000,000) domestic and international arriving and departing passengers per year.

System design, integration services, structured network cabling, system hardware and software were provided to Terminal 4 directly by TCSDI. TCSDI’s Zeus™ software provides the airport with seamless, timely and multi-language flight, gate and baggage information, while also providing the ability to create digital signage displays including advertising and visual paging. Industrial grade (24/7) high-definition LED flat panel displays are used throughout the facility. These displays are constantly updated with the most accurate real-time flight information.

TCSDI’s Zeus™ also provides a common use terminal equipment (CUTE) solution to Terminal 4. With TCSDI’s CUTE solution, the airports operational team will no longer need dedicated check-in counters, greatly increasing the volume of traffic that can be accommodated by the infrastructure.

The new system became fully operational on November 2014. According to Jun Awit, Terminal 4’s Operations Supervisor: “As a growing airport, TCSDI’s Flight Information Display System helps improve airport communication and keeps our passengers constantly informed of travel information. The great thing is that all TCSDI’s FIDS and DCS are tightly integrated and future-proof. Considering that airport handles millions of passengers per year, a reliable mission-critical solution was successfully delivered by TCSDI”.

The Manila Domestic Passenger Terminal, also known as the Old Domestic Terminal and as Terminal 4, is the oldest of the four existing terminals of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Terminal 4 hosts the operations of local carriers such as AirAsia Zest, Skyjet Airlines and Tigerair Philippines..
